Welcome new members and veterans!
In this meetup, we are studying for the book Quantum Computation and Quantum Information (https://www.amazon.com/Quantum-Computation-Information-10th-Anniversary/dp/1107002176/ref=sr_1_1?) as well as experimenting with Qiskit.
Study Plan:
– Read Chapter 1 casually to get an idea of what the book will cover. Do not worry if you don’t understand everything. This chapter is just an overview.
– Read Chapter 2 very carefully and do as many problems as possible. Mastering this chapter is essential for understanding QC. If the material is unfamiliar, then I recommend this book

– Chapter 3 is optional. Read the parts that interest you.
– Quantum Computation is covered in chapters 4, 5, and 6. We are working through problems and making model quantum circuits with qiskit.
– If you want to skip QC and go directly to Quantum Information, go to Chapter 8.
– Chapter 7 is an overview of technologies used to build quantum computers. It is optional in our study plan.
