Title: Boosting your DBA skills with Generative AI
The advent of Generative AI (GenAI) is revolutionizing the way we work and database administration is no exception. DBAs are integral to managing and maintaining critical data infrastructures, ensuring data integrity, performance optimization, security and more. Oftentimes, one DBA can be in charge of hundreds or even thousands of databases!
Generative AI has the potential to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of DBAs by automating mundane and repetitive tasks, such as cataloging of data, generating documentation, improving query quality and more. By leveraging GenAI, DBAs can shift their focus from routine maintenance to more strategic activities like longer term planning, data architecture and advanced analytics.
In this demo-heavy session, we will provide an intro on GenAI tools and concepts and then dive into applications and use cases for DBAs using tools like GitHub copilot as well as simply making use of ChatGPT.
