The Employment Development Department (EDD) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Information Technology (IT) Specialist II to join the Network Engineering Group within the Information Technology Branch (ITB).
Under general supervision, the incumbent will support the EDD’s enterprise IT operations, including hardware and software components and the confidential data managed by the organization. This role is based in the EDD’s Infrastructure Services Division (ISD), where the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and operation of statewide IT systems.
As part of the ITB the incumbent will help shape its transformation into a customer-focused service organization by adhering to the Branch’s cultural principles. They will also play a key role in fostering positive communication and building relationships with vendors, colleagues, management, and clients.
This position may offer eligibility for a hybrid work schedule, with telework flexibility determined by the Department’s needs. The employee is expected to report to the office on assigned in-office days, with travel costs to the headquarters at 800 Capitol Mall, Sacramento, California, the responsibility of the employee.
Position is located at EDD’s newly built headquarters located at 1416 9th street, Sacramento, California.
