Under the administrative direction of the Project and Business Management Division Chief, the incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of the Caltrans Information Technology (IT) Strategy and Business Management Section (IT-SBMS). The IT Strategy and Business Management Section sets enterprise processes and standards, formulates long-range IT Programs vision and objectives, aligns, reviews, implements, and ensures conformance with organizational policies and objectives. The IT Strategy and Business Management Chief has full management responsibility for organizing, planning, coordinating, directing and controlling all activities associated with the day-to-day operations of the IT SBMS. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing technical specialists and professionals performing complex support activities and services in the disciplines of IT Contracting & Acquisitions, Technology and Business Financial Management, Software Quality Management, IT Strategy, and IT Administrative and Personnel Services.
