Job Description and Duties
The Secretary of State’s (SOS) Project Management Office is recruiting to fill two (2) permanent, full-time Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) positions to serve as project manager/lead on medium/high risk and complex Information Technology (IT) projects.
Under the direction of an Information Technology Manager I, the ITS I manages and oversees all phases of the project management and system development life cycles to ensure efficient and effective delivery of IT products, services, and systems. The incumbent will coordinate project objectives by working closely with agency division chiefs, senior management, and the rest of the Information Technology Division. This position is eligible for telework; all telework employees must be California residents and may be required to report to the Secretary of State’s Headquarters in Sacramento when needed.
