IT Project Manager/ Business Analyst

Job Description:

Providence has an opening for an experienced IT Project Manager / Business Analyst with active PMP and a minimum of 10 years of IT PM experience.

The experienced consultant must also have direct experience with the State of California PAL Process, especially Stages 1 and 2.

This engagement is scheduled to begin in early March and run at least until 6/30/2026 (at 35 hours/week).  It is expected that this project will be extended for at least one year.

The successful candidate MUST meet ALL the mandatory qualifications listed below:

Mandatory Qualifications

1) 10+ years of IT project management experience including:

• successful management of multiple concurrent enterprise-level projects
• strong skills in multi-stakeholder communication, schedule and cost control, risk management, and governance adherence
• the ability to read a situation and adapt communication style to ensure productive collaboration up, down and across the organization

2) 10+ years of experience eliciting, documenting and refining business requirements for technical projects.

3) PMP

4) 2+ years of experience working with SharePoint Online

5) 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Project and Visio

6) Demonstrable experience with PAL Stages 1 and 2 on at least 2 information technology projects.

7) Must live in the continental United States and work Pacific Coast time hours.

Desirable Qualifications

• 1 Demonstrable experience with all PAL Stages on one or more information technology projects.
• CBAP Certification.
• 2+ years working experience with SharePoint Online development or administration

This is a relatively fast-paced environment where a proactive approach is appreciated. Candidates may be asked for references and sample work products. The selected candidate will be subject to a background check and must reside in the Continental US.
