Job Description and Duties
This position is a 12-month Limited-Term position that may be extended and/or become permanent.
The reporting location for this position is California Natural Resources Agency Building located at 715 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814.
Under general direction of the IT Application Services Manager (IT Manager I), the incumbent will serve as an IT Application Developer responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications within a Microsoft Azure and Power Platform environment. The position is part of the Application Development team, which includes full stack developers and a Database Administrator (DBA), and supports a portfolio of mission-critical cloud and hybrid business applications.
The Application Development team operates in a collaborative, evolving Agile environment and is responsible for both new solution delivery and ongoing enhancement and production support of existing systems. The IT Application Developer plays a key role in strengthening application architecture, improving development standards, ensuring secure and scalable cloud implementations, and providing technical leadership on vendor-delivered initiatives. Responsibilities include full-stack development, systems integration, data modeling, documentation, release management, production support, and serving as a technical lead or subject matter expert when assigned.
