Position Overview:
Sutter Health is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst IV to join its Cybersecurity Department in Sacramento. This senior-level role provides cybersecurity support, guidance, and technical leadership to protect information systems, networks, data, and digital assets. The analyst performs advanced security administration, engineering, research, testing, monitoring, incident response, threat hunting, and risk management, and serves as a subject matter expert across multiple cybersecurity domains, including endpoint security, data protection, vulnerability management, SIEM, network security, and threat intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced security administration, engineering, research, testing, monitoring, incident response, threat hunting, and risk management
- Support enterprise cybersecurity programs, including vulnerability management, threat intelligence, data protection, data loss prevention (DLP), and risk reduction initiatives
- Conduct security monitoring and threat analysis using Microsoft Defender, SIEM, and other enterprise cybersecurity platforms
- Provide security consultation, risk assessments, policy reviews, vendor/third-party security reviews, and risk-based recommendations to stakeholders
- Develop cybersecurity metrics, executive dashboards, KPIs, and risk reporting using SQL, Python, and Power BI to support cybersecurity analytics
- Support security awareness, phishing prevention, workforce education, and human risk management programs
- Utilize ServiceNow or similar platforms for investigations, workflow management, and cybersecurity operations
- Mentor team members and drive program maturity, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Cyber Security, Risk Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted)
- 8 years of recent relevant experience
- Professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, Microsoft Security, or equivalent advanced certifications (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of information systems security concepts, current trends, and practices
- Knowledge of NIST, HIPAA, FIPS, and other recognized industry security standards and best practices
- Detailed understanding of endpoint security technologies (antivirus, forensics, anti-malware, HIPS) and Windows and Linux operating systems
- Proven ability to conduct incident response, forensics, and post-incident activities
This is a hybrid position in Sacramento, California; regular in-office attendance is required.
Compensation: $150,300.80 to $240,489.60 / annual salary
