Job Description and Duties
Under general direction, serves as the lead full-stack developer responsible for architecting, building, securing, and operating modern software applications and APIs that power public-facing and internal digital services. The incumbent exercises expert-level judgment across Software Engineering and collaborates with IT Project Management, Information Security Engineering, and System Engineering to deliver resilient, accessible, and secure services that comply with the State of California’s requirements. The Developer provides technical leadership and may lead and mentor project teams.
Effective July 1, 2025, State employees are subject to a salary reduction of three percent in exchange for five hours per month of the Personal Leave.
