WSP is currently initiating a search for a SharePoint Site Administrator for our Sacramento, CA office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

SharePoint Site Administration and Management: build, configure, monitor and maintain the SharePoint Services, solutions, and features deployment and configuration.
Primary tasks include:

  • Permissions management.
  • Gather business requirements.
  • Site collection and site management.
  • Site security configuration.
  • Site Search administration.
  • Workflow management.
  • Configuration of custom development and third-party solutions.
  • Training including creating printable materials and hands-on instruction.

SharePoint Solution Development and Support: build and support solutions that fit into requirements gathered by the Governance Board and SharePoint Architects, while adhering to established standards.
Responsibilities include:

  • Build branding and UI components.
  • Build workflows, web parts, reports, and forms.
  • Participate in design tasks as needed.
  • Participate in development and testing as needed.
  • Provide support for developed solutions.
  • Develop, standardize, and maintain new or improved processes based on findings and analysis.
  • Assist in conducting research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support Program Management Information System procurement efforts
  • Support and Training including creating printable materials and hands-on instruction

SharePoint Designer: design, build, test, and configure Sites collection and webs. Primary tasks include:

  • Permissions management
  • Gather business requirements
  • Create no-code solutions
  • Site collection and site management
  • Search Configuration
  • Workflow management
  • Branding
  • Site level configuration of custom development and third-party solutions
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new processes, and other post-implementation support.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Technology, or equivalent experience/degree combination.
  • 3+ years of relevant working experience with enterprise level SharePoint Implementation.
  • Experience with SharePoint 2016 and Office 365 Administration.
  • Experience with Content Management solutions utilizing the latest SharePoint technology.
  • SharePoint Information Management Architecture to manage content ownership, enterprise level metadata, content types, and site columns.
  • SharePoint security architecture.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships; respond appropriately to difficult situations and acknowledge the various responses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in: JavaScript, CSS, and HTML 5, as well a strong understanding of the SharePoint platform.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio and Microsoft Outlook.
