GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
To help support and maintain our Microsoft SharePoint environment and to lead the migration efforts to migrate multiple on-premises SharePoint farms to the cloud.This position requires the ability to obtain security clearance, if needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Ensure the operational health of the Microsoft 365 / SharePoint environment, including security, availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability.
• As a SharePoint Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring and customizing SharePoint systems according to company specifications, building scalable web applications, writing, and modifying code, debugging software, and training staff.
• Develops SharePoint Online-based solutions by understanding key client objectives; diagnosing and mapping client requirements; articulating solution benefits; recommending technical approaches to unique Client situations.
• Facilities governance planning, leading discussions that will guide long-term administration of the SharePoint environment.
• Maintain frequent communication with peers and IT teams to maintain awareness of issues or changing process/standards.
• Manage internal customer relationship by communicating Microsoft Application architecture standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues.
• Establish and provide continuous improvement of client service delivery processes and standard operation procedures (SOPs).
• Will need to manage multiple farms and versions including on prem versions 2007 Foundation, 2007 Enterprise, 2010 Enterprise, 2013 Enterprise, and GCC-H hosted in the cloud.
• Experience migrating content both on premise to O365 efficiently utilizing SharePoint Migration Tool, Sharegate, BitTitan, or other tools, to minimize downtime and user impact.
• Builds and produces reports using query and flexible reporting tools to meet the requirements of business management and staff.
• Sets up user accesses and trains users on application.
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
• Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).
• Other job duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Experience and Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Solid experience in support management roles, having a worked in a highly motivated, fast-paced, critical support role is preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Active Directory
• An excellent reputation for support to end-users and leading teams

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or a minimum of 6 years with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Three years of IT support experience is preferred.
• One year advanced Office 365 experience is preferred.

• Remote home office environment
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones).
